» Double Compression Cable Gland Mainly Consist of the following parts :


» FITTING SEQUENCE FOR DOUBLE COMPRESSION GLANDS
1.

Secure Gland body, Inner seal ing assembly part (part no. 2&3) into mounting plate with check nut (part no. 1)

2.

Pass outer seal Nut, Skid Washer, Outer Seal Ring assembly part (part nos. 9,8,7) and Armoure clamping Nut (part no. 6) over cable before commencing to strip the outer sheath.

3.

Remove outer sheath of cable and then pass Armoure clamping Ring (part no. 5) over exposed Armoure.

4.

Cut the Armoure according to the size of Armoure clamping cone length and splay them out one by one. Then pass Armoure clamping cone (part no. 4) over inner sheath and below Armoure.

5.

Pass cable through secured Gland body, inner seal Ring assembly (part no. 2 & 3)

6.

Engage Armoure clamping Nut (part no. 6) with Armoure clamping cone & Ring arrangement (part no. 4 & 5) and Gland Body (part no. 2) and tighten up to grip armoire and inner sheath.

7. Engage outer seal Nut (part no. 9) and Armoure clamping Nut Gland Body assembly and tighten up to grip outer sheath of the cable.

» FITTING SEQUENCE FOR SINGLE COMPRESSION GLANDS
1.

Secure Gland Body (part no. 2) into mounting plate with check nut (part no. 1).

2.

Pass compression nut (part no. 5) 1st metal washer (part no. 3) and outer seal rubber ring (part no. 4) over cable before commencing to strip the outer sheath.

3.

Remove the outer sheath to the desired length depending on the length of leads required.

4.

Pass the 2nd metal washer (part no. 3) over the cable and splay out the armour wire one by one and then cut the armoure wire to size slightly shorter then washer.

5.

Pass the cable with whole assembly through secured T Gland Body (part no. 2) and tighten the compression ring (part no. 5). While doing so the rubber ring will contract ion radial direction and will grip the outer sheath of cable.
